Magnetix goes Nordic as part of Isobar

For a long time, internationalisation has played a major role in the Magnetix strategy, with the avowed objective of becoming a leader in the Nordic region. Now the agency has found a business associate to help fulfil their ambitions.

Magnetix has just signed a contract with Isobar, one of the world’s largest digital agencies with a global work force of 4,400. The merger will lead to the consolidation of Magnetix and the 4 Isobar companies in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland into a new corporation: Isobar Nordics. This will make it one of the largest agencies in the Nordic region. 

From now on, Magnetix’s current CEO and founder, Martin Bochineck, together with Christina Rind Helsbro (COO), will lead Magnetix and the 4 other Isobar Nordics companies.

On the subject of the new entity, Martin Bochineck says: “We are both extremely proud of becoming part of one of the world’s most innovative and accomplished networks and quite humbled at the prospect of the task that lies ahead. For a long time now, we have been looking for the right cooperation model to help us conquer the Nordic region. In so many ways, Isobar is the perfect match for us.”

Christina Rind Helsbro (COO) adds: “In terms of strategy, mission and values, we feel that Isobar is a wonderful counterpart for us. We have exactly the same focus in terms of creating cohesive customer experiences across all channels and merging content, user experience and commerce.”

Martin Bochineck also underlines how Isobar’s international expertise was a major motivation for the merger: “Now we have undoubtedly acquired some completely different muscles to flex, and we believe that the new chapter, upon which we are now embarking, will be even more exciting than what has come before. Now we can really help our customers realise their visions on an international level. We find this challenge extremely motivating.”

Now the merger just needs the approval of the competition authorities in order to become a reality.

Isobar is represented in 44 markets. Both Forrester and Gartner have ranked the company as a global leader in the digital agency field.  Coca-Cola, Netflix and Adidas are among their customers. Isobar is part of Dentsu Aegis Network, which also owns the likes of Carat, Vizeum and iProspect.
